The 'Meh' Edit

You know when you invest in a new makeup item only to find out that it's just.. average? We've all been there. I try to do my research before I fork out too much cash, but sometimes you can't help but be let down. It's not that these products are terrible, but they certainly didn't earn a spot in my makeup bag.

I've spoken about Tarte's Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation before, and I've since tried to give it a second chance. For the price tag, I expect it to make me look like Beyoncé. Somehow that doesn't happen and I just turn into a blotchy blob. Soap & Glory's Supercat Eyeliner Pen was love at first application, but after a few hours it had all transferred onto my brow bone and therefore I transferred it into the garbage. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Rimmel's Provocalips doesn't go anywhere even when you want to get it off. Kiss proof? Maybe, but be prepared for lips that are drier than the Sahara. Lastly, another lip product that made me feel cheated. NARS Audacious lipsticks are gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but you can get more bang for your buck from pretty much any drugstore brand. Have you found any products that were underwhelming?
